What is PTA?
Some people are surprised to learn that Carson High School has a PTA.  Well, of course we do!  All of us are concerned about our students’ welfare, and becoming a member of the PTA is a great way to help.  CHS students are also eligible to join and hold leadership positions, too. PTA brings parents, teachers, students, and the community together to share thoughts, ideas, and concerns that impact students’ achievement, safety, health, and wellness, as well as legislation that affects all children.  Our group is a valuable forum for parents to communicate concerns and praise to the Carson High School administration and staff. PTA is involved in programs and activities that benefit Carson High School teens and sponsors programs such as:​
  • Reflections Art & Literature Contest
  • College Students Interview Panel
  • Help with Senior Projects
  • Staff Appreciation
  • Support for CHS academic departments, teachers, and clubs
  • Scholarships

Membership

You want to support the school, right?  Sign up for the CHS PTA today.  In case you're worried about being sucked into the black hole of volunteerism and commitment, have no fear!  While we love to have people volunteer their time, there are no requirements for meeting attendance or volunteer hours.  Plus, you get a bonus for becoming a member: Members pay the student price for all events hosted by the high school!  Does your student participate in a sport (football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, etc.) or fine arts activity (band, choir, musical theater, etc.)?  You will recoup the cost of membership in just three events!  Oh, and did we mention that Seniors who are student members of the CHS PTA are eligible to apply for scholarships?  Yep, that too.
